Using a finishing nail and hammer, or a stud finder, find the nearest stud to this mark and make a mark on the wall at the same height. Line up the bottom of the mounting plate with this mark and attach it to the wall using one of the enclosed screws. To level the mounting plate use a level, or measure the same distance to the floor as the center at each end and screw in the other two screws at the other two pilot holes. With two people lift the headboard against the wall and slide it down to rest on the mounting plate. If you have concrete walls you will have to drill holes and use wall plugs to install the headboard. You now have a sturdy headboard installation unlike wobbly,squeaky headboards that are attached to the base of the bed.
